This adventure Shane, Sophie and I backcountry trek to the Rosie Roost hut. This hut is located along the Eklutna traverse in the Chugach mountains. To get to the hut we skinned the 12 miles and 4500' feet of elevation up Crowpass to Raven glacier, then down the West Fork glacier to the hut. The second day we skied down to eagle glacier then skinned and booted the 2000' feet up to Roost peak. Shaner tells me that it was 8 miles from the hut to the peak and back. The third day we skied out totaling between 30-35 miles for the trip. This was an epic trip and a fantastic way to end 2020 and start 2021. I hope y'all enjoy the video!
