This week Schony747 features the classic Victorian Railways S Class Streamliner Diesel locomotives in the familiar back to back lashup. The S Class diesel locomotive was first introduced to The Victorian Railways in 1957. The class ran both mainline passenger and freight trains while in service. The back to back lashup was a common sight when two S class locomotives ran together. S301 and S313 are both in preservation with Steamrail Victoria. This is the first time in many years a back to back s class formation has run Both locomotives are seen hauling the Steamrail Victoria 2024 members Christmas train.
