Back in the studio, starting a new series. Let’s see what happens. 🎨
I had a really interesting reflection about being an artist recently.
It was a rainy Sunday afternoon, and my husband asked me if I was bored.
The question actually stopped me in my tracks because I honestly couldn’t remember the last time I felt bored.
I think when you’re living in a state of flow—when your mind is constantly creating, exploring, wondering, and imagining—boredom almost seems to disappear.
There are definitely times of rest. Times of stillness. Times when nothing is being produced and you’re simply being.
But boredom? I’m not sure I experience much of that anymore.
Maybe that’s one of the unexpected gifts of this phase of life… realizing that creativity has become less of something I do and more of a way that I live.
And now, back in the studio with a blank canvas and no idea where this new series is going.
Let’s see what happens. ✨
And if you’d like to explore this technique with me in person, I’ll be teaching it at my September Deer Lake Retreat. Four days of creating, learning, connecting, and getting completely immersed in the creative process.
There are just a few spaces left, and I’d absolutely love to have you there. 🤍
Do you ever feel like creativity has changed the way you experience life?
