"It's Britney, B*tch"
While we don't do many covers of modern tunes (since our friends at PMJ have that lane very well covered) we couldn't resist reimagining this iconic Britney Spears tune with a bit of a Louis Prima feel. As many of you know, our arranger (and frequent trombonist) played lead trombone in Benny Goodman's last orchestra. He also got to arrange for Goodman. I wasn't sure how he'd react to my asking him to arrange a Britney tune...but thankfully he had a blast tackling the challenge.
We've performed this song for years - and finally decided it was time to release it.
