A bill that would ban surrogacy has been introduced in Colombia's Congress. The bill, titled "Women Are Not for Rent, Children Are Not for Sale," seeks to outlaw the practice. Meanwhile, a surrogacy case in which the biological parents wanted their surrogate to receive an abortion after the baby was diagnosed with a heart defect, but she refused, has drawn national attention. The biological parents are now suing the surrogate for more than $100,000.
