Milton Babbitt, the seminal 20th century composer, wrote Partitions in 1957, and Post-Partitions in 1966. He noted in the score that Post-Partitions should immediately follow Partitions. Note that Mr Babbitt indulged his whimsy in the title of "Post-Partitions."
Mr Babbitt's style of composition is called "total serialism" by academics; "bleep-blop" by musicians; and "is it over yet?" by the general public. Curious how it can all sound wonderful after a session with Mr Bong.
