Cooking some Vietnamese BO KHO for the first time! AND we get a surprise baby shower! This is the recipe I followed approximately:

Marinade:
1 kg chuck beef
4 cloves of garlic
2 cm~ fresh ginger
1 tbsp fish sauce
1 tbsp Chinese five spice

Stew:
2 yellow onions
4 cloves of garlic
2 cm~ fresh ginger
6 pieces of lemongrass
400 g crushed tomatoes
100 g cherry tomatoes
1 L~ beef broth
2~ normal sized whole cinnamon
2~ star anise
4~ bay leaf
3 tbsp tomato pure
33 cl Coca Cola
4~5 big carrots
Vegetable oil for frying
Salt & Pepper

Toppings:
Holy Basil / Thai basil
Fresh shallots
Lime
Fresh chili
