• Entries must include at least 10 seconds of masking. (Example: masks that are 5 seconds, or many shorter masks that equal to 10 or more seconds).
• You may use non-game footage as a background for your mask, but the main focus must be video game footage.
• One entry per editor.
• 'Masking Collections' Videos are allowed.
• All masks must have been created by you.
• Your video must be longer than 30 seconds.
• You may put the timestamps for your masks in the description or entry comment if necessary. This is not required.

• All entries must be in by 23:59 31st December 2018.
• Editors may enter more than one category.
• Editors may enter Group Projects into categories such as Emotion, Effects, Raw, Storyteller as long as the Group project has that focus in mind.
• Studios may enter Group projects into categories such as Emotion, Effects, Raw, Storyteller as long as the Group project has that focus in mind.
• Editors may enter the same video to more than one category.
• Editors may NOT enter more than one video per category.
• The Editor and Studio Of The Year Awards are done via a nomination process. See the individual videos for more information.
• Only gaming footage allowed. No entries containing any other footage allowed. Media derived from gaming franchises are acceptable (e.g. Advent Children)
• Judges may enter and be nominated for awards. But they will not be able to judge their own entries.
• Contestants may create new GMVs if they wish, but are reminded that entries must have been created in 2018 and posted by the deadline.
• No verbal abuse, etc. to any other entry or judge will be permitted. Any such acts will lead to disqualification.
• Please report any abuse to a Head Judge who can deal with this appropriately.
