• A pairing that is heavily promoted or suggested.
• Refers to all videos which center around characters from the same game.

Editors may enter this category in a number of ways, as long as it adheres to the canon, and you justify your decision for entering your particular video (either via your comment or preferably in the description of your entered video).

Perhaps you have a video of a canon love story with the perfect song to match? Perhaps you have a video which rein-acts a scene from your most loved game? Perhaps you have a video which shows the friendships, hardships and journey of your favorite character?

Your entry can be anything from a love story to a character study, as long as your work is faithful to its canon. The category of canon does not only include romance or romantically involved couples - it can be anything from a video centered around the original story line to an in depth analysis of a character or character's relationships.

• Your entry must not exceed 10 minutes.
• Your entry must be your own work.
• Collabs are allowed, but will be judged as ONE piece of work where both editors will be judged together.
• All editing programs are accepted, your entries will be judged on your skill, not your program.
• Voice acting/audio FX allowed.
• No verbal abuse, bashing etc. will be tolerated towards any other judges or entries in this category. Contestants found guilty of this will receive a warning and may face disqualification.

∙ All entries must be in by 23:59 31st December 2019.
∙ Editors may enter more than one category.
∙ Editors may enter Group Projects into categories such as Emotion, Effects, Raw, Storyteller as long as the Group project has that focus in mind.
∙ Studios may enter Group projects into categories such as Emotion, Effects, Raw, Storyteller as long as the Group project has that focus in mind.
∙ Editors may enter the same video to more than one category.
∙ Editors may NOT enter more than one video per category.
∙ The Editor and Studio Of The Year Awards are done via a nomination process. See the individual videos for more information.
∙ Only gaming footage allowed. No entries containing any other footage allowed. Media derived from gaming franchises are acceptable (e.g. Advent Children, Tales of Series, Persona etc)
∙ Judges may enter and be nominated for awards. But they will not be able to judge their own entries.
∙ Contestants may create new GMVs if they wish, but are reminded that entries must have been created in 2019 and posted by the deadline.
∙ No verbal abuse, etc. to any other entry or judge will be permitted. Any such acts will lead to disqualification.
∙ Please report any abuse to a Head Judge who can deal with this appropriately.
