One of her friends reached out to me to remove the video to say that the horse became lame once the test started. SInce I don;t take kindly to being gaslit I decided to look into it further and this is what I found.
Her young rider's dressage horse was definitely lame in the team dressage test however not as bad as it was in the individual test. What do you think?

Brooke Mancusi first made the list of crappy Canadians after falling off her horse on the lap around the dressage ring, before her grand prix dressage test.
For those of you that have been around for a while this should not surprise you as she is coached by one of Dressage Hubs most watched Brittany Fraser.
The state of dressage in Canada is dismal at best but Brooke Mancusi is doing her best to keep that reputation abound.
Arthur is owned by Jill Irving and has had numerous fails in the Grand Prix dressage test during the piaffe, passage tour, so out of kindness she gave the ride to Brooke Mancusi. The gift that keeps on giving us dressage disaster videos here on Dressage Hub.

The last videos features Katherine Bateson and Haute Couture alongside Anouk Nordman and Zeronica in the Grand Prix. Both horses get a little bit wild during the test and the end result is different for both parties.
Anouk Nordman retired after the bell was rung and it was reported as retired rather than an elimination.
Katherine Bateson managed to tactfully ride Haute Couture to a complete Grand Prix dressage test.

This horse started out looking good in the grand prix dressage test, then suddenly half way through the extended trot the horse takes several uneven steps. The rider (who is awesome) pulls up and excuses herself from the test.
The judge who should have had one of the best views of the sudden lameness had no idea what just happened and had to ask the rider why she retired. What that play out.
Last week we showed you a series of riders who continued to ride their horses through the grand prix while lame. It is refreshing to see a talented rider that is able to feel that her horse is taking uneven steps and retires immediately.

This is not the first time we have called out dressage riders for taking lame horses down the centerline in the grand prix, you can watch Jill Irving finish the grand prix on DH, but it is the most that we have ever seen in one weekend.
You cannot watch this and tell me that not one single person that is part of any of these team did not stop for a single moment to say, maybe today is not your day to ride the grand prix dressage test. This is a complete and total dressage fail and is why we feature so many dressage disasters here at Dressage Hub.
This an absolute fail not only by what should be some of the top riders in the sport but the top vets, grooms and stewards that should be monitoring the warm-up ring.
*Note for Karen: I should not be able to make this video is the world's best dressage riders were in fact doing what they do well.

This year has been exceptional for Canada in terms of dressage disasters, 3 dressage riders have actually fallen off at the Global Dressage Festival. If there ever was an argument against helmets the Canadian riders have ensured that dressage will never return to top hats.
In this video we watch Evi Strasser, Brooke Mancusi, Ally Dunlop and more have an epic equestrian fail one after another.
The bar is so low you can fall off and be on a team as long as you have money.
*Note for Karen - Instead of being mad that I posted, be mad that it happened. No need to worry about my skill level as I have ridden at a higher level than all but one of these riders. I trust that means you think I am qualified to have the opinions that I do and will accept them because of that.

In reality, I think the rider went in to give this horse the opportunity to end this ride on a good note. As soon as the test is going well the rider excuses herself from the dressage ring.

Someone needs to coin the marketing slogan "Helmets, For when you can't fix bad horsemanship."
Dressage riders have jacked up and trigger-stacked the FEI dressage horses so much that they are literally no longer capable of being a harmonious or even submissive partner in the dressage ring.
The inception of bigger thigh rolls allows riders to be capable of riding higher levels of dressage than they are physically capable of. Riders are over horsed and it is not a good look for dressage.
Carrie Schopf is 65 years old and probably as invincible as the young rider we saw crash in yesterday's video. But at what point do we hold the team around these riders accountable for their safety. There is a coach, trainer, groom or someone along the line that probably could have said this horse is a bit hot today. Or is it because there was a trigger-stacked warm-up that set the horse up for failure.
Yesterday's crash: youtu.be/2KZHfncD0d0
These crashes are not just a dressage disaster for each of these riders it is a complete disaster for the sport. As it continues in the direction that I have been talking about over the past few years. My videos garner a lot of hate but I am not wrong.
Dressage has evolved and so have the disasters. It is time to bring back safety and animal welfare into the sport before we lose it forever.
Steps off soapbox
Notes For Karen: Something did not just happen in that corner. This horse has ridden at this venue for years. It is also a Grand Prix Dressage horse that should be able to fly around the world from venue to venue without any problems. Training is the point of dressage.

At the FEI World Cup Grand Prix in Amsterdam, the commentary went from gushing about Queensparks Wendy to gushing blood in just a matter of a few minutes.
Andreas Helgstrand was eliminated half way through his grand prix dressage test resulting in this dressage disaster.
The worst part of this dressage disaster is Natasha Baker trying to gaslight fans into believing that this is a totally normal and acceptable part of the sport. I disagree.
I suspect with the elimination of marshmallow fluff, known here at Dressage Hub as Fluffgate, we will see many more blood eliminations in the dressage ring.
While I tend to keep my opinions to myself on the dressage disasters I did want to take the opportunity to walk you through this one.
A few years ago we had a guest do several videos in which we explained trigger stacking and what it looks like in a dressage disaster. The series also talks about why horses ridden in rolkur are more likely to enter the dressage ring trigger stacked.
You can watch those videos here:
To help people understand what we here at Dressage Hub see is happening in this test we posted a few additional videos.
One is a veterinarian talking about Anoxia and fear is triggered in horses that are trained using rolkur. You can watch that video titled - That Horse Is Not Spooking, He Thinks He Is Dying here:
youtu.be/zO8_F5bQMPw
The second video we published discussed trigger stacking and how to understand the elements of fear in horses and how this test is not a simple spook but rather a combination of triggers to send this horse into a state of fear and flight. You can watch the video on the basics of trigger stacking here:

This in hand dressage exercise to help you introduce the half steps to your dressage horse can be done with a horse that is currently schooling or training dressage at a lower level. In fact, that is the perfect time to start to introduce this exercise so that your horse is ready for it as you progress up the levels in dressage.
The in-hand dressage work will not only help you with piaffe and passsage at the higher levels but it will help you with canter pirouettes and the rest of the collected work that is required of an upper level dressage horse.
This simple training exercise will only take you ten minutes but the results will benefit you and your dressage horse for a lifetime.

Carina and the 11-year-old Danish Warmblood mare scored 77.079% for the win by the world championship team gold medal partnership. The duo competed for Denmark at the Tokyo Olympics as well as their first first World Cup Final in Leipzig, Germany in April.
Nanna Merrald Rasmussen and Blue Hors St. Schufro, 11-year-old Hanoverian stallion, was runner-up on 74.605% in only the third Big Tour Grand Prix for the pair, one early last year and the second in July. Nanna rode Blue Hors Zack on Denmark’s teams at the world championships and the Tokyo Games.
Andreas Helgstrand and the eight-year-old Jovian were third on 74.579%. The KWPN black stallion was world champion at ages five and seven and began Grand Prix in May this year.
Daniel Bachmann Andersen on Zippo M.I., 10-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding, was fourth on 74.079%.
The Freestyle to earn points toward qualifying for the Final is scheduled for Sunday. This competition is one of 11 in Western Europe to fill one of nine spots reserved for the region in the Final lineup of 18 combinations. One spot also goes to the defending champion, Jessica von Bredow-Werndl on TSF Dalera BB. The Germany rider needs to compete in two qualifiers to get a start in Omaha that would bring Western Europe’s total to 10.
The number of contenders even before the Western European league (WEL) began is already crowded with 21 riders having garnered points from qualifiers in other leagues that have been carried over to WE

Early in his career, he received high marks at the Bundeschampionate in 2003, was the bronze medalist at the 2004 Bundeschampionate, and in 2005 Damon Hill won the World Championship for the 5 year old Dressage Horses under Helen Langehanenberg who took over riding him from an injured Ingrid Klimke. His scores were: walk 9.2, trot 9.80, and canter 9.2. Damon Hill prolonged his reign in 2006 when he lived up to all expectations back under Ingrid herself. The stunning stallion with power and balance captured the 2006 World Breeding Championship for young dressage horses in Verden Germany again with scores in the 9.0’s. With his excellent character and great impression he wins the hearts of everyone he meets. Along with his "day job" as a Grand Prix dressage horse, he is also a breeding stallion in high demand. He captivates through his extraordinary ability, and convinces with his work ethic and desire to please.
Dami enjoys the days when he can do his dressage training outdoors on the hills and has a lot of fun with the gymnastic jumping. Ingrind Klimke commented that it has given her great pleasure to train such a talented horse. At the age of seven, he often won S-Dressage competitions and at eight years old, he finished second in the Nürnberger Burg-Pokal. At nine, he won many Grand Prix tests and was second at the Medien Cup Final in Munster at the Turnier der Sieger.
Damon Hill has lived up to all expectations, showing a lot of amplitude, power and balance, not to mention his ability to produce exceptional offspring such as the approved stallion and silver medalists of the 2011 World Championships for the 6 year old Dressage Horses, Damon Jerome H who also recently won the 2012 Nürnberger Burg-Pokal qualifier in Mannheim under Uta Gräf.
In addition to Damon Jerome H, Damon Hill was also the sire of the 2008 Westphalian Elite Mare show, Deprice (mv Frühlingsball), and he has sired many foals who have qualified for the Westphalian and German Foal Championships. One of the outstanding ones was the 2005 Reserve Westphalian Champion filly out of a Riokio mare. Damon Hill also sired the Champion RPSI colt, Cavalier.
Liquido, in the 6 year old qualifier decided the floor is lava and was no longer interested in dressage. The meltdown was probably the biggest meltdown we have seen to date here on Dressage Hub. Adelinde was unable to ride Liquido out of the ring and a handler had to come in and hand walk her out of the dressage ring at the young horse championships.

LOCK, BRACE and LEAN INTO THE KNEE ROLLS were all forbidden things to do in every lesson I have ever had. Learning to ride with a balanced independent seat and hand was more important in developing a horse that is correctly round and balanced instead of waterskiing on its face.
If this is the future of dressage then DRESSAGE IS DOOMED. I said it. I have been saying it for a while but we have never had the privelege of hearing how camp Ashley Holzer (yes that is who Jacqui trains with) actually teaches the Canadian dressage riders like Brittany Fraser-Beaulieu and Jill Irving how to waterski on their horses. We only get to see the end result of some very unhappy horses that result in an astonishing amount of dressage disasters all from one trainer and their students.
This lesson is appalling in that even the simpliest things like the abrupt halt were never corrected but rather praised.
In my personal opinion this is by far the biggest dressage disaster yet.

First Apple turned into a fried apple shortly after her grand prix dressage test began and only got worse at the dressage test went on. Sarah Lockman Tubman finally retired after completely missing a line of one tempis and her horse doing the canter pirouettes that amatuer hour at a schooling show.

Charlotte Fry did a fantastic job of sticking with it and riding him through to complete the Grand Prix Dressage Freestyle, pulling her score back up throughout the second half of the test.
This dressage fail was averted by the skill and precision of the 26-year-old Olympian Lottie Fry.

I am not an expert or a witness and I have no legal or actual ties to this case. All of these statements are merely my observations and random thoughts on how messed up this case and trial has been from the start!
I did forget to mention that the judge is seriously manstrating and is not impartial at all and should be dismissed.
Please feel free to add your comments as we piece together what really happened in August 2019 when Lauren Kanarek claims that Olympian Michael Barisone tried to kill her and Rob Goodwin at his dressage stable.
We have supported Michael Barisone here at Dressage Hub from the moment the shooting happened. We have created T-Shirts with #FREEMICHAEL on them in which all of the proceeds will go to support Michael Barisone as he attempts to regain his life after an unfortunate encounter.
