Azeroth is actually in a prison and no this is not my speculation, a few days ago a new archives questline came out completely outlining this process. The prison is powered up by the Manifold which are 7 titan facilities, it is connected by the coreway and the prison itself is called the worldcore. Titans lied that it was created to stop the old gods from influencing Azeroth but the true goal was so that they can isolate it for themselves. However we than learned that Azeroth rebelled, it attacked their workers while they were building the prison and turned them into crystals. Seeing that crystalizing is the way Azeroth defends herself that also reveals a lot about what these giant crystals really are and why do we have this massive Beledar stuck in the ground. Let's look at all the latest information as this is by far the craziest lore we had gotten in these past few years.
