Recently a few of my coworkers and I started playing a tabletop RPG called "Technoir" and I've totally fallen in love with the story and our characters. This is my character and here's her backstory for those who are interested:
Sophie is a med bot whose model was discontinued. After many years of devoted service, she was replaced with a newer, more efficient model and disposed of. A team of rogue mechanics salvaged her and several bots of her type from a tech dump, but she was the only one left with her cerebral core intact. After replacing her power core and booting her back up, the rogue team discovered that her cerebral core had actually been damaged during her disposal. Using this to their advantage, the mechanics pushed the limits of what Sophie deemed morally acceptable and gave her a "switch:" a codeword they could say that would turn Sophie's caring persona into a medically trained monster (dunno what the codeword is yet. I was thinking "Battle Bot Engage" or "Who Wants Some Cheesecake?"). While Sophie is generally a kind-spirited and knowledgeable medic, she can also be a tool of horrific medically precise destruction depending on the needs of her compatriots.
Thank you all so much for watching and I'll see you soon with a time lapse painting of the most recent GRAE comic page :D!
