Full guide: AXIS Frank Dart & Mini Dart explained (sizes, volumes + how to choose): thesupco.com/blogs/news/axis-frank-dart-mini-dart-mid-length-foil-boards-explained

The new AXIS Frank Mini Dart is one of the most interesting “mid-length” foil board shapes we’ve seen for UK conditions — built for fast, efficient starts and a super-forgiving feel when you’re learning, progressing, or chasing more take-offs per session.

In this video we break down:
• What the Mini Dart is designed to do (and why it feels so easy to get going)
• Mini Dart vs Dart — which board suits your riding style
• Which size/volume to choose (with a simple rule-of-thumb)
• Where it shines: wing foiling, prone, parawing and Foil Drive-style assisted starts
• The key design details that matter on the water: early planing + clean release + forgiving touchdowns

Mini Dart vs Dart (quick comparison)
• Mini Dart = longer, more glide-focused, and tuned for earlier planing/starts (perfect if you want “easy mode” take-offs)
• Dart = stubbier, more “surfy/nimble” once flying — great for tighter turns, wave pocket work and a more compact feel

Mini Dart size guide (dimensions + volume)
• 5'6" x 18.5" — 50L (lighter riders / advanced prone)
• 5'8" x 18.75" — 60L (prone + compact wing setups)
• 5'10" x 19" — 70L (wing / Foil Drive crossover)
• 6'0" x 19.5" — 80L (parawing starts made easier)
• 6'2" x 20" — 90L (stability + early release sweet spot)
• 6'4" x 20.5" — 100L (heavier riders / confidence builder)

Which volume should I choose? (simple rule)
• If you’re learning starts / getting into parawing: aim roughly 5–10L ABOVE your weight (in kg)
• As you improve: you can often drop to ~10L BELOW (depending on balance + conditions)

Important note: Board only — foil, mast and footstraps are sold separately.
