Video Game Speedrunning convention Games Done Quick has announced that they canceled their 2023AGDQ Florida convention which they were planning to hold since 2021 in protest of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Parental Rights in Education Act and his state government's response to Coronation. The actual reason for their cancellation is more about politics and finances than health and safety driving their decision to virtuality signal.

The Ministry of Otaku was one of them, and was one of the few (and possibly the only) independent journalist that documented what happened 4 days was spent recording what happened.
