It shows how an inexpensive and generic ebike can be upgraded to have far greater capabilities once switched over to Grin's motor controller ecosystem by adding a 2nd hub motor, torque sensing control, and regenerative braking.
Generally we recommend building DIY ebikes starting from scratch with a non-electric bike as the basepoint. However these days almost all cargo bikes on the market are already electrified, but rarely with the battery capacity and torque that cargo systems require. In that case, getting an already electric bike and upgrading the drive system with a 2nd motor can be a viable path to the vehicle that you need.
