"Away" is a song by John Holgate off of his 'Shouting at Birds' album.
This version is an instrumental version of the song released on his "Away" release last year.
John has quite a few albums and i own all of them. We crossed paths years ago when he purchased some kites from me 'Big Mikes Kites'. I discovered his music and we've been in a symbiotic relationship ever since. He has been gracious enough to let me use his music on my videos. Please explore his music and purchase some yourself.
About 'Shouting at Birds' by John Holgate
The vast majority of these tracks came to life as ideas and loops while on the road in the caravan. I always take the little Ibanez QX with me and with Quantiloop on the ipad and with various guitar orientated software, I can keep myself amused for hours. The tracks range from quiet and reflective to rowdy rock. Titles were often taken from circumstances or events at the time. I have no idea where some other titles came from :) Play it, enjoy it, download it. If you use it on videos I only ask you put the music in the credits and feel free to put a link to here.
On the technical side, the guitar was recorded through a Boss GT1000 Core and SY200 synth pedal into my DAW (Mixcraft 10). Drums are EZDrummer 3 plug-in and the occasional keyboards (Novation Launchkey 49) into Mixcraft. Guitars are the Ibanez QX52 and a Schecter Avenger Elite SLS. Bass is just the guitar through the synth pedal.

"-Awesome Mike! I really appreciate the support and I'm jealous of your paved bike paths. Most of ours are gravel and we have to drive 30 minutes to get to them. Although my favorite is an asphalt track in Halls Gap that runs from Lake Bellfield to just out of Halls Gap which is around 7km. Love that 360 degree footage too!"
