This ancient pilgrimage site, part of the UNESCO-listed Routes of Santiago de Compostela, features a sacred sanctuary with the Basilica of Saint-Sauveur, the Crypt of Saint-Amadour, seven chapels, and the revered Chapel Notre-Dame housing the miraculous Black Madonna statue.
Visitors ascend the famous Grand Staircase of 216 steps on their knees (historically) or by foot to reach the religious heart, while the upper castle ruins offer panoramic views over the valley, blending profound spiritual history with one of Frances most picturesque and awe-inspiring landscapes.

Naqsh-e Rustam is the necropolis of the Achaemenid dynasty of Persian kings: Darius I the Great, Xerxes I, Artaxerxes I, Darius II.
Persepolis and Pasargadae are on the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list, and Naqsh-e Rustam is on the tentative list.
