THIS IS OUR BIG UPDATE: The TURNABOUT MUSICAL PRODUCTION PACKAGE!

Over time, multiple people have contacted us about putting on their own productions or versions of Turnabout Musical. The materials and resources that would facilitate such productions - scripts, sheet music, etc. - haven’t been formally released, and in some cases don’t even exist.

We are pleased to announce today a new release which aims to change that. It’s the result of efforts to dig back and find and collect as much material as possible. We found chord sheets, notes, and sheet music for many songs (not all), and we are finally releasing the full original script, the abridged Nerdification script, and some other script ideas.

This collection is scripts and music, but it’s also much more. It includes a lot of detailed notes and history, even fun trivia about the songs. There are handwritten notes and chord sheets from when Matthew Taranto "TriforceBun" was writing some of the first most memorable songs of the show. There’s videos of the storyboards and gag shorts that were shared between project members as they conceptualized what they wanted Turnabout Musical to be. This is like reading a long detailed love letter to Turnabout Musical, conveying the memories and feel of the show to anyone who wants to really delve into it.

We are very proud of what Turnabout Musical has become over the years. However, we don’t think it’s done. We know people will take this release, and create something more with it. Turnabout Musical has always been about creative people coming together to make something fun and beautiful. There’s something about Turnabout Musical, a magical essence that we believe came from the togetherness and creativity of some amazing people. This release hopefully begins to convey that essence. We hope you have fun reading it, and look forward to seeing what you wonderful creative people out there will do!

One thing we ask: if you decide to “get in on this,” please share your creation with us. This release package is huge and amazing, but it can always be bigger, and we can always welcome even more people into this colossal waste of time.
