Several of the last songs Diana Ross recorded as a member of the Supremes consisted of several popular standards including "Canadian Sunset," "The Look of Love," and the track presented here, "Autumn Leaves." Originally "Autumn Leaves" was assigned to another Motown artist at the time, Billy Eckstine, however the track was reassigned to The Supremes in 1969. The song remains unfinished as it didn't get to the stage where Mary Wilson and Cindy Birdsong laid down their background vocals. It remains unclear why the song was reassigned to the group as it wouldn't have fit with the material on their final album together "Cream Of The Crop."
