One of the more spectacular times of the year in Portland, Oregon is traveling through the forest during October when the leaves turn shades of gold, amber and crimson then fall to the ground. This was recorded using the Insta360 One X and custom mounted to the roof of Subaru Crosstrek. It was then brought into Adobe Premiere edited, rotated and shifted (#VR360) and subtly color graded. As well as quiet wind foley and music track added.
Note this is best viewed at 4K and above. Its default mode is facing forward, but watch in reverse as well since the sun coming through the branches is amazing. Also it if you have a VR headset (even a Oculus Go or Quest) the is next best thing to climbing on the roof your car and tying yourself down, except you won't have to worry about picking the bugs out from between your teeth.
It is my hope next year to revisit this same shot with an 10K stereo 360 rig.
