Went out for an autumn camp out close to home. A place I’ve been to once before in the spring. It’s beautiful, quiet, on a slow moving river and of course that best part is close to home. I spent the day gathering, sawing, and chopping firewood after I set up camp. Then just before denser I take a short hike to an extremely special spot just down the river. I come back to camp, start dinner and build a fire…go to bed early and wake up early to a beautiful sunny morning. Make some hot cocoa and sit and hang out at the river till I’m ready to leave. It was a great and relaxing day and night! My go-to close to home spot!
