Our latest research findings in collaboration with @swissretv, one of the largest reinsurers in the world, are clear: In 3.8M rider-only miles, the Waymo Driver significantly reduced bodily injury & property damage claims in comparison to the human baseline. When comparing the safety performance of the Waymo Driver and human drivers based on data collected through August 1, 2023, bodily injury claims frequency was reduced by 100% and damage claims frequency was reduced by 76%—both differences are statistically significant.
