Bastian Solutions worked closely with Stevens’ Brampton distribution center to assess, design and implement an automation strategy that addressed the challenges of a 15+ year old brownfield facility. With growing SKU counts and rising demand, Stevens needed a scalable solution that could maximize existing space and deliver reliable throughput. The collaboration brought together AutoStore, conveyors, autonomous mobile robots and Exacta WCS to create a highly efficient and accurate fulfillment system.
- Maximized space utilization with 18,600 bins and 50,000 ft³ of AutoStore storage
- Increased throughput with 230 bin presentations per hour and 166 per port
- Improved accuracy with 99% of units picked directly from AutoStore
