This is an alternative automatic minecart chest loading station that can be made 1-wide. I call it the half-dock because the half-slab is the keystone of the build and also the minecart docks halfway between the powered rail and detector rail.

In this video I show you an automatic 1-wide tileable ice farm using the new observer blocks from minecraft 1.11. The main benefit of this farm over traditional ice farms is that because 1-wide tileable it is less laggy and infinitely expandable.
