In this video, we use Autodesk Assistant in Autodesk Fusion to review a preliminary injection molded plastic enclosure. Instead of running a full simulation, Autodesk Assistant analyzes the existing geometry and highlights potential design for manufacturing (DFM) concerns like tight inside radii, wall thickness, and other features that could impact manufacturability.
It’s a fast way to catch issues early, improve plastic part design, and make more informed engineering decisions before moving on to detailed mold analysis and manufacturing.
Autodesk Assistant is currently available as a Tech Preview and is part of a growing set of AI-powered tools in Autodesk Fusion designed to help engineers and product designers work faster and with greater confidence.
