In this video, I discuss and analyze players’ autographs that have changed over their careers and into retirement. I think that this is an under-acknowledged facet of autograph collecting with certain styles of autographs being much tougher to track down than others. I can see a future where autographs from a limited number of years fetch significantly more than styles that persisted throughout a significantly longer stretch of time for a given player. I also want to show legitimate variations of some key 90s players’ autographs, as many collectors may not be aware of some of the autograph variations out there.
