Welcome to dptutorials, the channel where Excel becomes smarter, faster, and easier for real corporate work.
Today’s tutorial shows you how to automatically assign task priority in Excel using a single intelligent formula.

Instead of manually marking tasks as High, Medium, or Low, Excel can evaluate due dates, compare them with today’s date, and instantly assign the correct priority. It even marks tasks as Completed when the status changes!

Here’s the exact formula we use:

=IF

This formula checks:
If the task is finished → “Completed”
If the due date is within 2 days → “High”
If due within 3–7 days → “Medium”
Else → “Low”

🎯 Perfect For:
Project management
Team task trackers
Sprint planning sheets
Ticketing systems
PMO dashboards
Follow-up logs
Daily planning sheets

This automation helps you prioritize work instantly without missing any deadlines.
