Tarantula type Spider found in central Australia, thought to be related to the Sydney funnel web Spider. The Female lives in burrows and the Male is smaller and is often found wandering around looking for a Woman Spider. Venomous and potentially lethal but rarely comes in contact with Humans as its found in Desert country. Its known as a Barking or Whistling spider, on a bright, calm Moon lit night the Spiders can be heard making eerie whistling sounds, possibly as a warning sound or to attract a mate. When camping out, best to sleep off the ground as a wandering Spider might come along and want to crawl into your Sleeping bag or Swag!
