The Ausom L1 could be the budget electric scooter that deserves far more attention. Designed primarily as an urban commuter, it offers considerably more capability than its price suggests. The 800W rear motor can reach a claimed 28 mph, while dual suspension and 10-inch tubeless tires help the scooter handle everything from city streets and cobblestones to dirt roads and trails. Its 48V 15.6Ah battery is rated for up to 44 miles, although real-world testing produced about 30–35 miles in Eco mode and approximately 20–25 miles during faster Race-mode riding. The L1 isn't perfect: the brakes aren't hydraulic, acceleration is less aggressive than powerful dual-motor scooters, and charging takes a long time. Still, after roughly 400 miles of testing, it proved to be a comfortable, capable and dependable option for riders seeking maximum value.
