volume 2 begins.
i want to take a sort of more ambiguous storytelling direction with the project this time, using the music to loosely tell a story, but still leave a lot to interpretation.
as i explore this vast, clustered forest, a beautiful, angelic light fills the night sky - its majesty coats the world in a plethora of different colours, some not even seen before or thought possible. yet as it passes in a matter of minutes and the world returns to bleak darkness, a faint sense of danger lingers on the horizon - i'm not the only one out here, am i?

This was a lot of fun, not gonna lie! The real fun began when I was working on the more dubstep-ish part, and it was certainly something of an experience. Synthesis and making synths is fun, please try it if you havent already.

New hardest once again. GG.
God, this level was a blast from start to finish. The gameplay was extremely solid minus a couple of parts, and the deco was a fresh take on an old theme.
Minus the wave at 32% and the ship at 42%, this levels gameplay felt satisfying and fun all the way through. It was pretty fairly balanced and synced well to the fantastic song, including broad and interesting parts to showcase the gamemodes that felt well-utilised. Most of my attempts were practicing the second half, while I only got there a few times, it still felt like the harder part of the level. The first half however was quite a challenging portion as well. But the first boss fight proved to be rather irritating at times! This was the main reason I had a good experience with this level - it has my favorite gameplay of any level I have played to date.
The deco felt fresh and interesting for the style it was encapsulating. Hell themed levels are often the typical red and black messes that we normally see - however this level opts for a more grey and orange color scheme, alongside many bones and such scattered throughout the level. The skeleton dragon boss could have been better executed, but it was still well done for the time it was made. Overall, this was a part of the level I highly enjoyed.

TO BE DECORATED SOLO BY ME IN 2.2!
Here it is. Something harder than MINUSdry.
Ive always said that if I was gonna make something harder than MINUSdry, I was gonna make something MUCH harder. This is that something.
Ive had the idea of making a top 1 for the longest time, however, I didnt feel like I could do it until I felt I was ready. Now that 2.2 is just around the corner, and Ive gotten all this experience from all of my collab parts and solos, I feel that Im finally ready to take on something bigger.
I asked my good friends and fellow creators Rynoxious and Linear to create gameplay for this project, since I didnt trust myself to do this incredible song justice with the gameplay. The duo came up with some absolutely DEMENTED gameplay, pushing their typical gameplay to the boundaries of what a person can do - the unnerfed layout alone had 52 120hz frame perfects and 20 240hz frame perfects, and it could rival some of the hardest upcoming top 1s.
The ideas I have for this are things youll probably see when the first preview of the deco comes around some time in the future - I dunno how long its gonna take for me to finish this whole level, but as this is the first time Ive done something like I have in mind, only time will tell.
As for how hard this is? This is miles harder Tidal Wave, and is approximately within the difficulty region of levels such as EGO and Orochi. I wanted this to be top 1 now, and I want it to remain as a top 1 by the time its finished in a couple years time.

So, its about time I got the chance to enter an official CC for GD, and I got to team up with none other than the amazing Xolarzz on this new project!
The decoration stage is gonna begin very soon, with a theme based around dreams and nightmares - how itll turn out is yet to be seen, but I hope that thisll be worth the effort :)
Thisll probably be an easy demon once its done, praying that it wont be any harder lmao
