At August 13th of 2025, YouTube will start using AI (Their own YouTube AI) to detect if your a user who is under 16 or 18 by seeing what you watch on YouTube, what you search on YouTube, and by what you comment on YouTube (i think), and if you are detected as someone who is under the age of 16 or again 18, your YouTube would be limited & you have to submit your Identification Card... And apparently when your account gets limited, your videos that you've uploaded from now on (DOESNT AFFECT YOUR ALREADY UPLOADED VIDEOS!!!), will be always set to private no matter what, but thats just a rumor though...
I don't really know what would happen to my channel & my other ALT Accounts when it hits August 13th, I've cleared all my search history & paused my watch history, but I dont think that may be enough unfortunately- but if it is enough, maybe I can post videos still...
And apparently governments are also planning to add a way so that you cant use a VPN to watch YouTube & avoid the law... so... yea... and (hopefully not) sooner or later all websites (or even the internet in general) will require you to submit your Identification Card just to even access a certain website (or again the internet in general) and if they did eventually do that... idk how else I'd feel, considering I'm already dealing with such mental stuff- and the Internet is my only place to feel like I can truly be myself & create whatever content on the internet & distract my mind from having negative thoughts + other.
The Internet is supposed to be a free safe haven where people around the world can talk, play games together & make content, but nowadays, the government doesn't like that and wants to restrict it or some fucking bullshit like that...
I do not know if every government in the world is going to do this or not, all I know that the USA & the UK is doing this to "keep children safe" when we know all to damn well that they want control & watching what were doing online.
