Callie Day (@croulie) took a synth-making workshop from Dogbotic Labs (@dogbotic), and together she and I built a... scanner? It’s a goofy machine that can slowly scan a simple image line by line and then display it as a stack of waveforms in any multitrack DAW (in this case, Pro Tools). Technically, it has unlimited resolution! But here we kept all our tests under ten scan lines. I think this video showcases how it works better than a written description. Enjoy.
