Dante Sound in Software Challenge - audinate.com/news-activity/sound-in-software-challenge
Join us the second Tuesday of every month for the Audio Programmer virtual meetup! Here we exchange knowledge, ask questions, and meet with other audio programmers throughout the world.
We invite you to join us no matter where you may be in your audio programming journey — whether you're a software developer, student, artist, or just generally interested in finding out more about audio technology.
You can submit a proposal for our future meetups here:

This month's guests are:
(1)
"Navigating the Journey from Audio Developer to Entrepreneur"
Adam Wilson (Node Audio)
Abstract:
I started my journey as an audio software developer in 2014, initially learning JUCE and C++ for a personal project. In 2015 I gave a talk at the JUCE Summit. I then started freelancing, and in 2020 formed my company in order to meet growing demand for my services. In 2022 I launched my first plugin. In the last year I have been growing my business and done a lot of thinking about how best to serve my own ambitions as well as my clients.
The talk will tell the story of my journey, and some of the things I've learned along with way, as well as some of the mistakes I've made. Much of my learning could be applied to other industries, but there seem to be particular traits within the audio developer community that I'd like to speak about.
I hope that my talk will inform and inspire others who are thinking about embarking on a similar journey, or who are at a different stage in their own journey building a business in this industry.
(2)
"Fourier Analysis in MATLAB"
Rachel Locke (Dynamic Cast)
Abstract:
Fourier theory underpins almost everything we do in audio development and signal processing in general. This month we'll be exploring the decomposition of a complex time domain waveform into its single frequency sinusoidal components in MATLAB. To gain a deeper understanding of how the Discrete Fourier Transform works we'll be visualizing and discussing the output in the frequency domain.
(3)
"Music AI: Exploiting the Latent Spaces of Sound"
Ale Koretzky (Splice)
Abstract:
In this presentation, Ale Koretzky, Head of AI/ML & Audio Science Innovation at Splice, will walk us through some of his past and present work developing AI technology and products to empower Creators in the music space. As part of this journey, Ale will be sharing key insights and challenges in developing AI-driven experiences that keep human decision making at the center, as well as his team's approach in the new era of Generative AI. Lots of demos included!
