![Gran Turismo 2 [PSX] - A Reckless Life
Gran Turismo is not *really* a driving sim, is it? I mean, it permits you to smash into walls at 300km/h and not only walk away unscathed, but actually emerge with an advantage over your opponents. For a great example of this, you need look no further than the original GT, which allows you to blaze around the High Speed Ring in a mega-souped GTO without having to brake and still win.
That said, its still a fantastic series. In fact, said failings arent always to its detriment. I certainly dont care, and will readily exploit them in attempt to even the competition, particularly in Gran Turismo 2. The computer loves entering cars over the BHP limit for any particular tournament and will ride to the finish line laughing heartily. In particular, the mega-powerful Ford GT40 can regularly be seen frequenting the 295hp Historic Cup.
All of which is fodder for a whole series of videos, but for now youll have to make do with me attempting to conjure some humorous quips on a selection of cars in the game. Oh well, at least its in pseudo-HD.
Regarding the closing sequence, in which I rammed the purple Focus into the side of the tunnel: because the computer AI isnt programmed to reverse and turn away from the obstacle, it continues to hammer the throttle until it wriggles free. As a result, the car spent ages slamming its front bumper against a wall and finished about half a lap down on the other competitors as a result. Bloomin eejit. ![Bioluminescent Scalextric - Enduro/F1 Race [Atari 2600/TV Boy]
Na then! You all know this game from the Inept Review, but for added psychedelia, I recommend Stick-of-Rock-tivisions TV Boy version replete with exotically-coloured sky. Ahm geddin the munchies just watchin! Hee hee...
Side note: recording to VHS then DVD is a pain in the backside. Only do it if you are a hopelessly hardcore retroist like me.
Oh, go on then:

![The Legend of Zelda: The Ancient Stone Tablets [Satellaview] Highlights
Three years ago, when Harry Yack completed a 3-hour marathon playthrough of the Legend of Zelda: Ancient Stone Tablets, he promised to upload a highlights version just in case you had a train to catch in precisely 50 minutes. So finally, here it is, in glorious 360p! Yeah, my previous computer was incapable of handling large files and I didnt want to be splitting the thing into 5,000 parts.
Anyway, highlights.

![For the Good of the National Grid - High Rise [Amstrad CPC]
AKA Butchering the Classics #427.
High Rise picks up from where Harrier Attack leaves off as yet more innocent civilians are subject to horrific peacetime treatment. Good job its only a game, eh?
Surely everyone knows this? Its the one where you circle a cluster of skyscrapers in a helicopter, destroying sections of them one bomb at a time. Its actually quite enjoyable, but as usual, Harry Yack suffers from a bout of performance anxiety and fails to portray the game to its fullest extent. Ah well, I never said this is a walkthrough. ;)
Predates the infamous bootlegged City Bomber by 2 years. :P

![Silent Paperboy [Amstrad CPC]
In which Harry gets overexcited by a 25-year old game.
Ready for some traditional Yack hot air and hyperbole? Good, because Bog Standard Reviews is back. Thank goodness for the Easter Weekend, eh?
Music is from the arcade version, because the tone deaf fools forgot to put background tunes in the CPC version! Silent Paperboy [Amstrad CPC]](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/KDlijDXcjug/mqdefault.jpg)
