William Tong is the first Chinese American Attorney General, and only the second Asian American Attorney General in the country. His story resonated with many in our audience. William Tong's parents started their own Chinese restaurant in the Hartford area of Connecticut and they worked 7 days a week, 15 hours a day. "Anyone who understands Asian small business or the restaurant business knows this... the only time I got to see my parents was when they would show up at my school and grab me and my sisters and we would go to New York City's Chinatown for dinner and a movie."

Opened in 1907, Katagiri Japanese Grocery is the oldest Japanese market in America. Their original location is still serving fresh fish, lunch boxes, and tradition to customers at 224 E 59th St, New York, NY 10022.
