Synthwave songs. Oh boy. What do I even say about these ones? Is this even a Synthwave song? Is Synthwave just 80s freestyle mixed with action scene music from that era? Is it the stuff you hear in old animes that are sometimes accompanied by Eurobeat? All I know is...the bass synths are great. The synths surrounding it can be incredibly chill, ambient, and emotional, but the bass synth just brings so much energy with it, making for such a fantastic mix. But what happens when a local music fellow tries to make something similar in 10 minutes? Potential? Or a dumpster fire? That's for you to decide. The program (VST) used for this song is called "SQ8L". It's free! To use a "VST", you need a "DAW" (Digital Audio Workstaton). My DAW is the program you see in the video (Cubase 5). Cubase 5 is pretty outdated now. I believe there are free DAWs. Be sure to research!
