Atong Atem is a South Sudanese multidisciplinary artist. Her practice uses various mediums including moving imagery. Atong’s art has made a mark on the world with her incredible use of colour, textures and how these intersect with her cultural lineage and her reclamation of the ethnographic imagery.
RAISE explores how young people are using the art of screen culture to share their own cultural and artistic expressions on their terms.
RAISE was produced by BE. One Creative allowing their mentorship program for young people, with an interest in film making to partake in the series and gain first-hand experience, establish authentic relationships with peers and mentors.
