The 2013 Atlantic hurricane season is predicted to be more active than normal—possibly very active—according to the pre-season forecast from NOAA's Climate Prediction Center. In this video, NOAA meteorologist Gerry Bell describes the outlook and the climate conditions responsible for the jump in Atlantic hurricane activity beginning in 1995.
