Administrator Bryan Bedford and ATO COO Frank McIntosh share the incredible achievements of our ongoing "Supercharged ATC Hiring" initiative over the past year.
Thanks to the coordinated efforts across the agency, we have just concluded the most successful application campaign in the history of the FAA, bringing fresh talent and energy into our training pipelines to support the National Airspace System.
Key Milestones Achieved This Year:
• 2,000+ New Trainees: More than 2,000 air traffic controller trainees have been brought on board in just 12 months.
• Historic Application Campaign: A record-breaking number of applications were submitted during our latest cycle, including an unprecedented surge within a single 24-hour period.
• High-Quality Talent Pool: Out of 12,350 total submitted entries, an impressive 10,779 applicants successfully qualified.
Thank you to the instructors, recruiters, and personnel at the FAA Academy and facilities nationwide who are working tirelessly to onboard, train, and support our next generation of air traffic controllers!
