My XEGS has always had colors that seemed a tad off but after not playing it for a while, the colors seemed really bad. green grass on Pole Pisition and River Raid looked brown. other colors were off too. I saw some discussion on Atari Age about opening the computer and adjusting a pot. That seems to fix my issue and it might fix yours too.
