A Pop/Rock Song - A female #vocal #sample #chopped used as a basis for a Pop Tune?
Yes, I'm doing it again. Last year I used samples by the same vocalist and created "CARRIED AWAY," a sensuous good feeling VALENTINE SONG.
This year (2026), I chose this sample to use for the song because of the singer's ability to emote exactly what I was feeling as a result of our political situation here in the U.S. I care about Women and Children and sympathize with people who are just trying to make it.
Don't ask me what she says in the 1st and only VERSE! Haha! I have NO IDEA! 🤣 I only heard "getaway, getaway." As a matter of fact, some may hear "NO GLOVES, NO COAT!" because I tried to chop the vocal so she says "YOUNG LOVE."
HERE IS THE BOTTOM LINE - it only makes sense if it makes sense to you! Thank you so much!
For me, it's about, “where there’s a will, there’s a way!”
They say, "it sounds like Ariana Grande." That's why I picked the sample to work with, because it sounds like her and I've always loved her voice.
I wasn't sure I was going to release the song, but I wanted to try to touch your heart with what I thought after producing it, is a heartfelt song.
There is symbolism in the video I could discuss at length. However, it is left to your imagination and perspective rather than me telling you what it means to me. It's very open to interpretation.

My son called me after the release and said, "Dad... Ariana Grande." I said, "What?" He goes. It sounds like Ariana.
Well, it's not Ariana. It's a female vocal sample, and we're not allowed 🚫 to announce the singer because she belongs to a sample pack in Splice. (splice.con haha!).
Oh, ok. Well, it sounds like her.
Early last year, I started working on the project. I was working on it at the same time as other projects.I was also using samples and drop & drag drumming, which I was completely happy with so I had to learn the drum part to play it with my electronic drums rather than rely on the drum samples.
Origin: I went on Splice .com looking for sounds for my next project. I fell in love with this sample pack (probably because it sounded like Ariana). I use samples, because I tried singing (haha!) and because I DON'T HAVE A SINGER (yet!)
In two weeks, get ready for sad "BATMAN" in "BEYOND HOPE"
