CHARLIE CHAPLIN The man who wrote the melody to the song SMILE! ❤️ Charlie wrote the music with help from composer David Raskin inspired by Puccini's opera Tosca. The Theme Song for his 1936 film, "Modern Times." Geoff Parsons added lyrics to it in 1954. Nat King Cole recorded the 1st ver. w/lyrics same year.

The film Limelight 1952 contains a speech where Charlie dressed as Adolf Hitler, but spoke of FREEDOM and DEMOCRACY.

After the release of Limelight, Charlie Chaplin was banned in Germany, was harassed by the FBI, called a communist, and denied re-entry into the United States.

He later settled in Switzerland, Lake Geneva.

The main instrument on this one is piano. It's an experiment combining a kind of classical song with a beat and some carefully placed dubstep sounds and music.
