At least 14 babies were killed in a blaze that broke out at a government hospital in Pakistan’s capital Islamabad on Wednesday (Aug 26).

The fire at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences was caused by an electrical fault in an air-conditioning unit, which triggered an explosion in the nursery, a hospital spokesperson said.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has ordered an investigation, vowing action against those responsible. #pakistan #pakistannews
