Astrophysicists Tell it Like it Is
It's a light-hearted song and just playing around, but I use a lot of elements from electronica to metal to folk and 'world music', because I love music in tons of forms. I used samples of Nina Simone, DJ Shadow, and prisoners from a South African prison. One of the reasons I love real DJ's is because they can put blood and sweat in their music: they can take samples and cuts of a soul singer, with samples of someone, for instance, building a house or whatever, and like I did, use prisoner footsteps to make a beat that you'll bop your head to.
