Why does Earth have seasons and are there seasons on other worlds?
The amount of daylight we experience varies throughout the year from place to place. Some places have longer days and nights than others, and the length of each day changes with the seasons. Blast off into outer space with Museum astrophysicists Jackie Faherty and Daniella Bardalez Gagliuffi to discover why Earth’s tilt is the reason for our seasons and what seasons on our neighboring planets are like, and why.
Science teacher and MAT alum Deion Desir pilots our journey in OpenSpace, the visualization software used for the Hayden Planetarium's space shows, taking viewers above Earth’s atmosphere and across our solar system.
