In this video I consider why it's so hard to discern fact from fiction right now and why there's been a huge boom in recent years in spiritual practices, "alternative" theories of how the world works and problems around addiction and mental health.
The answer, I argue, is the current strength of Neptune, which is the planet associated with dreams, illusions, imagination and escapism, and the dawning of the Age of Air, which has seen a move from a broadcast model of mass communication to a networked one, as well as the rise of postmodernism, a mode of thought that denies the validity of "grand narratives" and favours their deconstruction.
I offer some thoughts on how to ride the Neptunian wave, rather than be smashed by it, and point out that Neptune will be leaving Pisces in 2025-26, which may well feel a little like awakening from a dream.
I hope it's clear that I'm not casting judgment on "conspiracy theories" in general in this video - I'm merely noting their rise. I believe some conspiracies do exist, although it can sometimes be hard to tell conspiracy from people acting collectively in concert with their class interest and the nature of the astrological moment. That said, I will go out on a limb and say I don't believe the Earth is flat ;)
