The same coach, as we can see from the images, was utilized at the Thousand Miles in 1953, together with the older DB2. But during the same year the engine was developed to 2,9 litres and the camshafts were lifted up to gain 182 horse-powers, as to bring to life a new model, an evolution respect to the former, denominated DB3S.
