It was in 2013 that the first rumors about a preparation of the current GT-R. Nissan and Nismo announce an improved version of the Nissan GT-R. The Nissan GT-R Nismo became available in Japan in February 2014 and 2014 for the rest of the world.Nismo has reworked different aspects of the GT-R. Outside, the GT-R is equipped with a new rear spoiler which allows it to increase the weight by a hundred kilos at 300 km/h. The diffuser and the exhaust are completely redesigned. The front bumper is modified, painted red with different carbon inserts. Inside, the GT-R adopts Recaro carbon bucket seats.It is at the level of the engine that the modifications are the most important. The normally developed 550 hp V6 sees its power increase to 600 hp and its torque to 652 Nm. Bilstein springs and shock absorbers have been developed for the occasion and three modes are now available: "comfort", "normal" and "R (Racing). It costs €150,000 (2015 price).
In 2017, the GT-R Nismo evolves smoothly. Several technical aspects have been reviewed to improve performance and we will especially note the appearance of a new all-carbon shield.The Nismo version is a novelty that has been slightly retouched on the occasion of the 2019 New York Motor Show. It has received new carbon elements, those on the passages of future roads, 20-inch RAYS, brakes in carbon-ceramic and a titanium exhaust line. The price is €210,000 in 2020 on the French market.
