I forgot how long it takes to get into Assassin's Creed because of all the stupid forced training modes. The PS3 version of the game plays well enough. I don't know how it runs compared to other versions as this is the only version of the game I have ever owned/played, but it doesn't matter that much to me either. The only caveat is it doesn't have trophy support as it predates the implementation of trophies. The game overall is OK. The climbing mechanic is fun and well implemented, but the objectives become very repetitive.
I've always meant to play more games into this series, but have still yet to get around to it. I don't own Assassin's Creed II, but I do own a couple sequels on the Xbox 360 loose-disk. The original is still the game in the series I have played the most. There are so many games and game series' out there to the point that you can't always play them all, even big name titles. I sort of blinked, and boom, there were 12 assassin's creed games.
