Assassin's Creed is a transmedia franchise.
Meaning that each year, new AC stories are told across multiple platforms. And with the release of the recent comic series "Uprising" which is full of exciting stuff, we realized of important transmedia storytelling now was in the franchise.
And as it may be difficult to catch up with all the release, we decided to make this little guide to showcase all the products which are canon and part of the "Expanded Universe" of Assassin's Creed.
We hope this guide will help you and make you want to expand your AC experience! And the books/novels might actually tide you over until the release of the next Assassin's Creed game. ;-)

FR] Cest Officiel ! Ubisoft confirme que ce nouvel épisode baptisé Assassin’s Creed Victory se déroulera à Londres au 19e siècle, durant l’époque Victorienne. Après Paris, vous pourrez donc arpenter les rues (et les toits) de Londres. Kotaku, un site américain a obtenu dans la nuit une vidéo de sept minutes de gameplay issue du prochain opus d’Assassin’s Creed et nous montre quelques images inédites du jeu un an avant sa sortie.
Assassins Creed Victory est développé principalement par Ubisoft Québec Studios, et non Montréal qui supervise la série depuis 2007. Tout comme Assassin’s Creed Unity, Assassin’s Creed Victory semble reprendre le même moteur graphique et serait prévu à lautomne 2015 sur PC, PS4 et Xbox One
Kotaku a également révélé qu’ils avaient pu voir dans la séquence de gameplay pas mal de nouveautés tels que la possibilité de se battre sur des véhicules en mouvement. L’Assassin et héros du jeu sera doté d’un nouvel équipement, un grappin qui lui permettra de couvrir des plus grandes distances. Nous retrouverons dans ce volet la possibilité de se déguiser, directement reprise dUnity. LAssassin vu dans la vidéo a ainsi pu troquer sa capuche pour un chapeau haut de forme et se fondre dans la foule pour gagner du terrain sur sa future victime.
Léditeur se dit toutefois très déçu par ce leak à la fois pour les fans, mais aussi pour toute léquipe de développement qui a travaillé dur pendant des années sur ce projet. Ubisoft termine en précisant que lofficialisation en bonne et due forme dAssassins Creed Victory aura lieu plus tard. Pour lheure, améliorer lexpérience Assassins Creed Unity reste la priorité.
Quels sont vos premiers avis sur ce nouveau Assassins Creed ?
ENGLISH] 2015s Assassins Creed game has leaked, and it takes place in 19th century London during the Victorian era, Kotaku reports. According to a person familiar with the game, its called (either officially or internally) Assassins Creed Victory, and its coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC in fall 2015.
We reported in July that Ubisoft Quebec will lead the development of a future Assassins Creed title. The source indicates that Victory will indeed be created by that studio, and not Ubisoft Montreal as usual.Kotaku also reports seeing seven minutes of target gameplay footage, which they say was produced in Assassins Creeds engine, and thus was not pre-rendered.
In the video, the assassin climbs a tower to get a view of the city, descends, enters a carriage, and accepts a contract to kill a man. When the carriage is attacked, the assassin battles on top of the moving vehicle. The fight makes its way to a train station where the assassin ascends to the high ground, swings across the station using a grappling hook a new item for the series and takes out the target.
Ubisoft has responded with the following comment:
It is always unfortunate when internal assets, not intended for public consumption, are leaked. And, while we certainly welcome anticipation for all of our upcoming titles, were disappointed for our fans, and our development team, that this conceptual asset is now public. The team in our Quebec studio has been hard at work on the particular game in question for the past few years, and were excited to officially unveil what the studio has been working on at a later date. In the meantime, our number one priority is enhancing the experience of Assassins Creed Unity for players.
